Five Paws for Ginger Pye!

The book “Ginger Pye” is such an amazing book. It is written by Eleanor Estes. There is a family, and their last name is Pye. Everyone calls them the Pyes. There is Mama Pye, Papa Pye, Rachel Pye, and Jerry Pye. The Pyes are planning to get a pet. They go to the animal shelter and find a puppy that they all really like; they get home and come up with a name for it, Ginger Pye. They all love the new pup. One day Rachel and Jerry Pye were playing with Ginger Pye outside, and she accidentally got away. The family sees puppy prints, and then they see human footprints behind the puppy prints. They figure out that the puppy prints were from Ginger Pye, but they couldn’t figure out who the human footprints were from. They turn the corner and finally find Ginger Pye standing in front of them. The Pye’s take Ginger back home now knowing that she was safe. The family keeps thinking about the footprints that were behind Ginger for the rest of the week, hoping that no one was trying to steal their dog, but they thought wrong. Things get a little stranger after that for the Pyes.

I like this book because I like the way that Eleanor Estes really brings the characters to life. The person in the yellow hat that tries to steal Ginger Pye is very mysterious. Estes also shows the love that this one family has for their dog. She shows that this family loves Ginger Pye when they protect Ginger from the danger that awaits her outside in the world.

I would recommend this book for everyone!!! I would give this book 10 paws!!!!
